Hi!

We are The Seabirds, a 4-woman team preparing to row across the Atlantic Ocean, non-stop and with no support boat, from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean in a fleet of about 40 other boats. Days with 12 hours of rowing, big waves, and hot weather awaits - a truly elemental experience! We're so excited to exercise the skills of communication, fortitude, and perseverance that we've cultivated thus far with this ocean race. We are currently raising funds to get to the start line of this grand adventure in December. These funds will cover the necessary expenses of our endeavor, such as food for up to 50 days, equipment, mandatory safety gear, vessel and athlete transportation, race dues and emergency rescue insurance, and coursework and certifications to ensure we are as prepared as possible when we launch.

Wir sind The Seabirds, ein vierköpfiges Frauenteam, das sich darauf vorbereitet, den Atlantik zu überqueren – nonstop und ohne Begleitboot. Unsere Route führt uns von den Kanarischen Inseln in die Karibik, gemeinsam mit einer Flotte von rund 40 weiteren Booten. Es erwarten uns Tage mit bis zu 12 Stunden Rudern, hohe Wellen und tropische Hitze – ein intensives Naturerlebnis in seiner reinsten Form!

Wir freuen uns riesig darauf, all die Fähigkeiten einzusetzen, die wir auf diesem Weg entwickelt haben: Kommunikation, mentale Stärke und Durchhaltevermögen.

Aktuell sammeln wir Spenden, um im Dezember an den Start dieses großen Abenteuers gehen zu können. Die Mittel decken die notwendigen Kosten unseres Projekts, darunter Verpflegung für bis zu 50 Tage, Ausrüstung, vorgeschriebene Sicherheitsausstattung, Transport für Boot und Team, Startgebühren sowie Notfall- und Bergungsversicherung. Außerdem investieren wir in Trainings, Kurse und Zertifizierungen, damit wir bestmöglich vorbereitet in dieses Rennen starten.
