Help Star Walk Again
Donation protected
Hello,
I’m not sure how to start this. I’ve never done a GoFundMe before but my dog is really sick. The picture is of her when we first visited the emergency vet.
This past Friday we had to take her to the emergency vet because she would not walk. Her legs were very wobbly and she would fall over trying to walk out of the house.
The emergency vet did an exam and bloodwork but couldn’t figure out what was wrong with Star. They did rule out stroke but couldn’t rule out seizures and thought it might be intoxication from something she ate. This came out to about $650.
We took her back Saturday afternoon because she hadn’t gotten and better and the vet prescribed some medication. This came out to $200.
We’ve taken her to another vet for X-rays and there is nothing wrong with her spine. She has also not pooped since Friday even though we’ve spoon fed her pumpkin purée and so the vet gave her an enema to clean her out. This visit was $370.
I’m not sure how many more visits it will take to find out what’s wrong with her and get her better. I can’t stand to hear her cry When she tries to move and I can see in her eyes she wants to walk. She keeps trying to move her legs and she barks at our other dog when he tries to go in her bed and at our cats like she always has (she thinks their play fights are real fights and tries to break them up). She’s about 8 years old but she’s still got so much life to her. We just don’t know why she can’t walk.
If there’s anything you can offer to help pay for vet bills until Star gets better my family would really appreciate it. She was my grandma’s dog before she passed away and now she’s me and my mom’s dog. We just love her so much and want her to get better.
