God is Good

Hi everybody, my name is Karina. I am Maria's daughter and I have decided to do this go fund me for my mom because if there is something I have learned in life, it is that it's okay to ask for help. Anybody who knows my mom will tell you she is the most humble, nicest, caring woman out there and it pains me to see her struggle. Maria is a hard working single mother and only misses work when she falls ill or needs to take her son Moises to doctor appointments. It seems as though recently she can not catch a break. For within the last 3 weeks she has found out her fathers lungs no longer work, making his health deteriorate quickly, last week she had to be taken to the hospital from her job because she couldn't breathe and wasn't responding well. We know she has a heart problem and thought that was the issue but come to find out she has anxiety as well and is now prone to anxiety attacks. She has a child with cerebral palsy and was just told 3 days ago he needs to have surgery, on Wednesday Sept 14, due to a clot that is in his shunt located inside his head. All of this has caused her to miss work and unfortunately will still have to miss work for when they operate my little brother and the money raised will be used to help her pay not only her regular bills such as rent, electricity, trash, water, etc but recent medical bills and med bills coming her way as well. I just want to say thank you in advance to anybody who helps. Whether it's $1, $10, or $100 I know everybody works hard for their money and I appreciate every single persons kindness and generousity. *UPDATE* We took my little brother in for surgery and they did a final CT scan before they took him into the surgery room. The doctor notified us that the clot was no longer there, therefore he no longer needed to perform surgery. Unfortunately, he isn’t completely out the woods yet, my mom still has to bring him back for the next couple of weeks to observe and make sure the clot doesn’t come back. He still has constant headaches and will need to be monitored but the doctor did give us hope and stated this could be due to his body not wanting/needing the shunt anymore. We were told from birth that the shunt was to stay in his head forever... this has never happened before and only recently was there a case of a young person with cerebral palsy that no longer needed the shunt to survive. We can only pray and hope one day this will be the same for my little brother.

Buenas tardes a todos, mi nombre es Karina. Soy la hija de Maria, e decidido hacer este go fund me para mi mama porque si ay algo que e aprendido en esta vida, es que es valido pedir ayuda. Cualquer persona que conoce a mi mamá le diría que es una persona muy humilde, buena gente, y amable con todo mundo y me duele verla sufrir. Maria es una madre soltera muy trabajadora y solo falta al trabajo cuando esta enferma o tiene que llevar su hijo al doctor. Recientemente a tenido batalla tras batalla. Ya que durante las últimas 3 semanas descubrió que los pulmones de su padre ya no funcionan, lo que hace que su salud se deteriore rápidamente, la semana pasada tuvo que ser llevada al hospital desde su trabajo porque no podía respirar y no respondía bien. Sabemos que tiene un problema del corazón y pensamos que ese era el problema, pero descubrimos que también tiene ansiedad y ahora es propensa a los ataques de ansiedad. Tiene un hijo con parálisis cerebral y hace 3 días le dijeron que el necesita una cirugía, el miércoles 14 de septiembre, debido a un coágulo que tiene el tubo localizado adentro de su cabeza. Todo esto ha causado que ella falte al trabajo y desafortunadamente todavía tendrá que faltar al trabajo para cuando operen a mi hermano menor y el dinero recaudado se utilizará para ayudarle pagar no solo sus facturas regulares como la renta, electricidad, la basura, el agua, etc., pero también para las facturas médicas recientes y las que vienen. Quiero dar las gracias de antemano a cualquiera que ayude. Ya sea $1, $10 o $100, sé que todos trabajan duro por su dinero y aprecio la amabilidad y generosidad de cada persona. Que Dios los bendiga con mucho más.

*Actualizamiento* Llevamos a mi hermano menor al hospital y le hicieron un CT Scan antes de llevarlo a la sala de cirugía. El sirujano nos notificó que el coágulo ya no estaba adentro del tubo, por lo tanto ya no necesitaba operar. Desafortunadamente, todavía no está completamente fuera de peligro, mi mamá todavía tiene que traerlo de regreso al hospital durante las próximas semanas para observar y asegurarse que el coágulo no regrese. Mi hermano todavia tiene dolores de cabeza constantes y necesitará ser monitoreado, pero el médico nos dio esperanza y dijo que esto podría deberse a que su cuerpo ya no quiere/necesita el shunt (tubo). Nos dijeron desde que nació que el tubo se quedaría en su cabeza para siempre. Esto nunca había sucedido antes y solo recientemente hubo un caso de una persona joven con parálisis cerebral que ya no necesitaba el shunt para sobrevivir. Solo podemos orar y esperar que algún día esto sea lo mismo para mi hermano menor.
