This is Luna. At only 10 weeks old she has had a very rough start to life. I found her sleeping in the car seat in my garage this past week. She looked so weak and cold so I brought her inside and took her to the vet. You know the freezing cold week we just had, this poor thing was born a stray in the cold and has suffered frost bite to her tail and a fracture by her growth plate on her hind left leg. She either fell or was hit by a car. She is very underweight but this beautiful baby is definitely a fighter and has a healthy appetite for life. She needs a second chance to literally get back on her feet. We have two options for Luna. One is to save the leg by taking her to a specialist and the other is to just amputate. We really do not want to take this poor kittys leg but we need help from the village around us. However the cost for the surgery is about $5,000.00 to save her leg. The other option is to amputate her leg which is still a couple of thousand. Please help us save Lunas leg and give her a better start to life! Every little bit helps but we need to act fast. She is on some pain medication now but we need to address this quickly to get her out of pain and on her road to recovery! We have only had her for 3 days but are completely in love with her.
