Life changed in an instant for Kareem and our family when a tragic accident left him paralyzed from the neck down. In a moment, our world was turned upside down as we faced the devastating reality of spinal cord injury, countless medical complications, and the long road to recovery. But through it all, we have witnessed God's hand in miraculous ways.

A Journey of Pain, Miracles and Unwavering Faith

When Kareem first woke up in the hospital, doctors told us that he would never regain movement below his neck. But by the grace of God, he has defied the odds. Small victories - like regaining feeling in parts of his body, moving his arms, and being able to move his legs- have shown us that his story is not over.

Despite these miracles, the battle is far from easy. Kareem has endured painful wounds, infections, and the emotional toll of losing his independence. There were moments when hope seemed distant, but God continued to show up, giving us strength to keep pushing forward.

The Struggles We Face as a Family

Beyond the physical challenges, our family has been fighting battles on all fronts. With no external support and my recent loss of employment, we have struggled to keep up with medical expenses, wound care supplies, therapy, household bills and basic needs. Caregiving is a full-time job, and without resources or help, it has become an overwhelming weight on our shoulders.

Every day is a test of faith, endurance, and perseverance. Buth through it all, we have held onto hope, believing that this is not the end of Kareem's journey.
