I usually don't post any personal issues on FB, but really need everyone's help in this time of need. My sister Debbie (who is a single Mother) was diagnosed with Melanoma skin cancer back in June 2013. She underwent surgery at this time and was down for a few months. She was a real trooper thru this ordeal, she never complained, ALWAYS had a smile on her face and ALWAYS thinking and being positive. She was unable to work during this time and was unable to get short term disability. She struggled financially thru it, and had to get back to work before she lost her health benefits. My sister is a very hard worker and a very dedicated Mother, and hates the thought of being taken care of. In June 2015, she noticed a lump and went to the Doctor and they confirmed the cancer was back. She is going to need another surgery and will have a long road ahead of her. She will be off work a lot longer this time and I do NOT want her worrying about her financial situation. I am hoping to raise some money to keep her health benefits going, because she NEEDS them. I want her to focus on getting better and stronger, and not stressing over bills. Just the word CANCER = STRESS!!! Debbie is not looking for sympathy, not wanting to ask for help, and needs to stay POSITIVE. At this time we have told her to swallow her pride and let us all help as much as possible. Please keep Debbie and her 2 sons, Joey and Nick in your thoughts and prayers.
