Hello my name is Jeanette Cantu and on September 14th, 2023 my husband Lee Cantu was admitted to UCLA Ronald Reagan hospital. While his stay there..Lee was given a priceless and selfless gift of life a (Liver) that was offered to him unfortunately through the loss of another families loved one . We believe that with God’s grace and love, Lee received his new liver. Unfortunately during the liver transplant, Lee’s right ventricle of his ♥️ heart failed leading him into complete heart failure.
With his heart now failed, he was put on life support (ECMO) . During his time on the ECMO machine, Lee suffered collateral damage to his lungs and kidneys putting him into multi organ failure. Heart failure, lung failure, kidney failure, and fighting for his new Liver.
We are now into our 6th month of this journey and we are tired and weary but forever faithful. I come to you all in our time of need. I have unfortunately not worked since this began 6 months ago and now with no income, everything is too overwhelming. I need to still care for my husband who is in now in a rehab facility learning to walk and do for himself. With still the need to return so many back and forth appointments to UCLA every week when he gets out and the need of dialysis 4x weekly, financially there is no way I can provide and care for him. I’m humbly asking for any lil donation. I never thought we would be in this position, so I ask by swallowing my pride and tears in my eyes for any help. I thank you for all your support and prayers and text messages through all of this..It’s how we‘ve gotten through thus far. God bless you all.
With love and humility,
Jeanette and Lee Cantu
