In Loving Memory of Zachary Mascareñas
Donation protected
On November 29th, 2020, we tragically lost Zach to an unexpected accident. At only 19 years old, Zach was well on his way to an extremely bright future. Not only was he attending college, but he had just received his security clearance to work for Los Alamos National Labs. Anyone that knew Zach knew his love for basketball. Not only did Zach make an impact in his hometown of Peñasco as a star basketball player at Espanola Valley High School, but was a star transfer to Cibola High School. Every time Zach stepped on the basketball court, he brought immediately fear to any one that chose to try and guard him. His intense play and personality also got the attention from colleges around the nation that wanted to recruit him. The constant force that drove Zach to be the player and respectful young man he was, his family. His loving father, Nathan, was not only his father and best friend, but his coach as well. His incredible mother Staci, his brothers Alvin and Justin and his baby sister Marissa were always there, cheering from the stands and along side him throughout his life. His grandparents, Arnold and Annette Mascareñas and Robert and Elsie Salazar and huge immediate family and friends were the heart and soul that drove him. At this time, we are asking for everyone to please come together and do what they can to help with the large expenses of the funeral. Every little bit helps and we are eternally grateful for any and all help that you can provide. Thank you and God bless you all.....
