Help For a Family in Desperate Need

Hey friends...I need your help. Some friends who are very near and dear to me are in some serious trouble. These are friends who I grew up with and many of YOU know them personally. Our friend is disabled, his wife(also our friend) is his caretaker along with two children. Out of respect for their situation and privacy I am not going to name them... however, I am going to ask for the help they never would.
Being severly disabled due to medical conditions, multiple surgeries, and a stroke have left this family living very close to the edge of making it day to day. Managing an apartment complex with reduced rent helped them keep a roof over their heads for the last 9 years until the property was recently sold, rents were raised and new management was of course brought in. Living on a fixed, minimal income has left this family unable to continue living there and they had to leave their home. :(
The four of them are now living in a motel, (their belongings in storage) trying desperately to find something in a state where, as you all probably know rents are skyrocketing. They are down to their last few dollars. They need to get a roof over their chidren's head or risk losing them to foster care. They are going through all the proper motions to get help, are on all the right lists, made all the right calls but our state's system is so overrun they are just waiting. This is a good, loving family who are clinging to eachother but running out of time and options. We have paid for their room for the next couple nights but they need more than we alone can do. That's where you come in...
My heart is breaking for my friends and after racking my brain I thought I'd try this. The people I know are some of the most compassionate, helpful, open hearted souls on this planet and I am proud to call them friends. Together I KNOW we can make a difference in this family's life. And I KNOW they will be beyond grateful.
