Support Marcel's recovery

Brain injuries are an invisible affliction. A dear friend and colleague, Marcel Robicheaux, has worked for the Palouse Land Trust since 2021, first as an Americorps service member, then transitioning to an integral part of our team fall of 2022.
If you've visited Idler's Rest Nature Preserve, Judy's trail on the Neuman Conservation Forest, or participated as a volunteer for Palouse Land Trust, you've undoubtedly experienced the benefit of his skillful, dedicated hands.
On January 11, 2023 his life was dramatically altered in a car accident. When driving home from work, he was rear-ended by an inattentive driver who slammed into his car, knocking him immediately unconscious. After a brief stay in the emergency room, he was released to return home.
Now, as of March 1, SEVEN weeks have passed and he has been unable to return to work.
His car was destroyed.
Marcel is suffering from persistent lingering concussion symptoms, what's also known as a traumatic brain injury. March is Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness month. To honor him and recognize that brain injuries can happen to anyone, anywhere, and at anytime, I ask that you join me in supporting Marcel during his recovery as he is readjusting to life after this terrible, unexpected injury.
Marcel has experienced a dramatic loss of livelihood, and is accruing massive medical costs. Any amount would go towards helping him with basic living expenses. He does have a secondary vehicle that was gifted to him by a friend, but it needs some repair work.
He could use a little help from his community right now more than anything. He is such a beautiful human being, and we miss him.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Marcel, you are not alone in this journey.

March 2 update. Wow -- the floodgate of generosity opened up with force! I'm beyond delighted that we were able to meet and exceed the original goal (in under 48 hours no less)! We know there is a high need (between medical bills and months of lost wages) so I've upped the goal to let others contribute as part of the #MoreThanMyBrainInjury Campaign running through March.
