My brother Joe Lombari was diagnosed with Stage 3 pancreatic cancer 9 months ago and has undergone chemo and radiation treatments. The pancreas responded well to the radiation treatments but not enough to remove the tumor. Recently he learned it now has spread to his liver and he will need even more treatment. He continues to battle on in this fight.
He is the heart of our family always there with words of wisdom, a comforting thought, a shoulder to cry on, or a quick witted joke to make you laugh.
As a family we are all devastated by this latest diagnosis.
He worked as long as he could but due to fatigue and exhaustion from his chemo treatment he had to leave his job. The 6 month waiting period for disability caused him to use up his savings. Now the ever mounting medical bills and sadly a possible interment have added to the stress and worry of an unknown future.
