“Bringing a new baby into the world should be a time filled with joy, love, and excitement—but for our family, it's also coming with a lot of fear and stress. Our son is in the NICU in Pittsburgh since birth, and the expenses of driving to and from Pittsburgh are taking a toll on us, as well as trying to be there for our daughter at a family member's. We don't ask for help; we really don't like asking for help because we are not the kind of people to bother others for assistance, but knowing we really do need it at this time would help. We are hard-working parents. I work two jobs just to help with our family bills and more, and we just welcomed another beautiful baby into our life. We already have another child who depends on us every single day. Unfortunately, I, as the mother, do not receive paid maternity leave, which means the moment I stopped working to give birth and recover, my income completely stops. My fiancé works and does everything he can, but his paycheck alone simply isn't enough to cover rent, utilities, groceries, and the everyday bills that don't stop just because a baby arrives. Instead of focusing on healing, bonding with our newborn, and caring for our other kid, we are lying awake worried about how we are going to survive financially during this time. No mother should have to choose between healing after childbirth and keeping the lights on. This fundraiser is meant to help ease that burden—to help cover basic living expenses while we recover and adjust to life with a newborn. Every dollar raised will go toward keeping our home stable so we can focus on being parents, not panicking about overdue bills. If you're able to donate, please know that any amount truly helps. And if you can't donate, sharing this means just as much. We are so grateful for any kindness, support, prayers, or encouragement during this vulnerable time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ”
