Help Save Our Sweet Sunny ️
Hi everyone,
Our little boy Sunny — our 18-month-old Chihuahua — needs urgent medical help. He’s the heart of our home, the light that greets us at the door every day, and truly the most gentle, loving soul we’ve ever known. Everyone who meets him falls in love instantly. He isn’t yappy or shy — he just wants to be near you, to love and be loved.
Recently, Sunny’s health took a heartbreaking turn. His bloodwork shows signs of a possible liver shunt, a serious and often congenital condition that can be life-threatening if not treated. Our vet has told us that it’s urgent — we need to get him to Adelaide for specialist appointments and a CT scan to confirm if his condition is operable.
We’ve been quoted between $2,200–$3,300 for the CT scans, plus a $347 specialist consultation. These tests are the next crucial step to understand whether surgery is possible and how we can help him live a long, happy life.
We’re hoping to raise $5,000 to cover these immediate medical costs, the travel from Alice Springs to Adelaide, and the care he’ll need in the coming weeks. If surgery is possible, we know the costs could rise even higher — but we’re determined to do everything in our power to give Sunny the best chance at a full life.
This is especially hard timing for our little family — I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant, and the thought of losing Sunny while preparing to welcome our baby boy is overwhelming. He’s our first baby, and we so desperately want him to be here to meet his new little brother around Christmas time.
Sunny brings warmth, laughter, and unconditional love to our lives every single day. He doesn’t deserve to suffer, and we’re doing everything we can to help him. If you can contribute — even a few dollars — or share his story, it would mean the absolute world to us. Every bit helps us get closer to giving Sunny the medical care he needs, and the chance to live the long, joyful life he deserves.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping us fight for our beautiful boy. ❤️
With love and gratitude,
Celeste, Sam, and Sunny
