Hi, My names is Nancy Roy and I am setting up this fundraiser to help Michelle through her most challenging time in life, mentally, physically and financially. Some of you may remember Michelle as the Hockey Mom! Many years she spent at the rink volunteering to support many teams, young players and yes the crazy hockey parents! Her love for the game, and the players was seen in her hours of volunteering as Team Manager or Treasurer.

January of this year, Michelle was diagnosed with a bone marrow cancer and has spent the last 5 months undergoing Chemotherapy, while there has been a positive result, the road to recovery is far from over. There are many days that Michelle is overwhelmed with bone pain, nausea and dizziness, where she is in bed for days on end. She is scheduled to have a Stem Cell Transplant later this month with an additional one sometime in October. Transplant patients are required to be hospitalized for 3-4 weeks and then daily travel to the hospital for assessments, only to repeat again in the fall. As of last week, she will have no income for approximately 2 - 3 months, and then her income will be significantly reduced while her medical costs, travel expenses, will significantly increase.
