My name is Helen, I re-homed Molly as a puppy and she’s been my best friend for 10 years. I suffer with severe depression and anxiety, Molly is my constant emotional support and has saved my life over and over again. She is a very special little dog.

Molly became very ill last week and what we thought would be a quick trip to our local vet has turned into emergency visits to the cardiologists, liver specialists and now she’s at an animal hospital.

Molly has a heart murmur, which medication can manage. But at the same time something unknown, possibly a poisonous substance, has pushed her poor little liver to near failure.

Molly is now 5 days without food so she has a feeding tube to provide calories, fluids and medicine to help her fight through this.

It breaks our hearts to see her suddenly so unwell, especially after everything she has done for me and the thought of losing her is absolutely terrifying.

We have done everything we can to this point, maxing-out her pet insurance and spending every penny we have to keep her out of danger.

Unfortunately, we have been told the next bill will be significantly more than we physically have, in order to treat Molly and save her life.

Asking for help is the last thing I want to do; I do what I can to raise money and help others such as the Dogs Trust, the NHS, Prostate Cancer and Mental Health organisations. So this is the absolute last resort, as we only have a few days to raise funds.

Anyone else who knows and understands the loving relationship between us silly humans and our furry babies will know how how truly awful this situation is.

No clue how to end this so I’ll just say thank you in advance to anyone who can help.
