Aim High for Amy

Donation protected
My best friend since first grade, Amy, (left) has been diagnosed with metastatic cancer. She survived breast cancer and then it came back with a vengeance two months ago. The medical bills are a frightening and stressful element for her husband and family. I am committed to helping relieve some of that financial burden. Amy is amazing. She is the friend you wish everyone could have. When we met in first grade she was friends with a cute little girl who ended up moving away. I proclaimed to her that I could now be her new best friend and the rest is history. 53 years later, a million sleepovers, bathroom talks, boyfriends, Ohio State games, piano and singing sessions, watching our kids grow and our parents go, we are soulmates forever. Our "S&S Express" singing and piano duo in high school was like no other - we sang "you light up my life" in perfect harmony - and meant it. We sang Barry Manilow's "Looks like We've made it" but never knew how those words would ring true. No one knows why these things happen. She and I are both people of strong faith but it is still hard to understand. No matter. she deserves the best treatment and chance that money can buy and if I can help take that burden and fear away from her husband and family, I am certainly going to try. Please donate as you see fit.
