Gabriel Tomas Adarme was born in Kealakekua, Hawaii on April 26, 1989 where his family still resides. He moved to Edmond, Oklahoma in December 2013 to be with his best friend and sister (Mariah Kennemer) and pursue his career in helping the elderly.
Gabe found his joy in his passion for music, his love for his family and friends, and most importantly, his six year old son. During his stay in Oklahoma he was able to complete schooling for his license to be a Certified Nurses Assistant. He worked as a rehab tech where he found more happiness than money.
Gabriel's life was abruptly and unfairly taken on Friday July 10, 2015 when he was spending time with a few friends after work. A crazed man in his mid-twenties burst through the door of the apartment they were in with a large knife. He told them that he was looking for another young man and was not leaving without him, and if they called the cops he would kill them. Gabriel, who always put others before himself, rushed to the kitchen to call 911. He lost his life trying to save someone else when he was stabbed multiple times.
Gabe was born and raised in the beautiful islands of Hawai'i and had always dreamed of going back. The way he lived his everday life truly embodied the scripture "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends" - John 15:13. I am asking for your financial assistance to bring Gabe home.
