Cancer is a word that no one likes to hear. Between the surgeries, treatments and numerous doctors appointments it can be scary and daunting. People often ask "How can I help" or "Do you need anything". Most cancer patients do a very good job at pretending they can handle it all. But the truth is they are reluctant to ask for the help that is actually needed.
As most of you know Abby was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma and has since had 2 surgeries (one emergency) and she is in the middle of her second round of chemotherapy treatment. These treatments are located in Fort Wayne and are accumulative and weekly.....so she is finding it harder and harder to do every day "normal" tasks. This can include something as simple as grocery shopping, or having the energy to go to work. Every small deficit has a big impact on the household as well as state of mind. As most of you know they are also trying to do everything they can for the cat rescue that was started prior to her diagnosis. So at this point I am reaching out to her community of friends and family for some assistance. Every little bit helps! If you are interested in providing a meal to the family we can arrange that as well!
