I moved to Charles Town in April at the suggestion of my best friend and with his help. I have been living in a room in his basement since. I've grown happy here, met people, and really embraced the area. I spent months looking for a job, but no one wanted to hire a 62-year-old. So, I applied for social security early retirement and eventually got it. I just got my second check last week.

Suddenly, my best friend told me this morning that he wants me out at the end of the month. There is no lease and nothing in paper. He just has plans he wants to put into action and needs me gone.

I need a place to live so I can be moved by December 1. 12 days from now. I am in a total panic. After this month's car payment and bills, I have less than $1000 to my name. Next check is December 14. I can't begin to afford the usual first, last, and security deposit. I'm in a fix, and I need help!
