Amy Lamp's medical expenses

Donation protected
Just recently I am reminded of the read When Bad Things Happen To Good People.  A mother, wife, sister, daughter, coworker, and friend to all, Amy Lamp, was recently diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.  Anyone that knows Amy will quickly realize that what I am about to write in no way will do her justice but I will try.  Amy is the wife of Brian and the mother of Jacob, Nathan, Sarah and Jennifer.  She is the most selfless mother and person you will know.  Her children are her world and it is obvious. She never misses one of their events.  But of course we all love our children.  What is more remarkable about Amy is that not only does she love and care for  her 4 biological children, Amy in a sense is a second mother to all of our high schoolers.  If you don’t know who she is, Amy is that first smiling, laughing face when you come in KHS.  Amy is at Grand Central in the high school office.  She is the first to answer any calls from upset, concerned, worried or questioning parents.  She lends an ear to our problems and will help guide us to the person to find resolution.  She is there in the office every day and often intercepts a problem that our child may have, offering an ear or a shoulder and giving sound advice in our absence. Amy is also the one behind the scenes for so many of our kids’ functions. You can find her heading up spaghetti dinners and fundraisers, organizing the meals for the buses for away games, working frantically on events such as after prom (even when she may not even have a child in the Junior class.)  When one of her own kids, isn’t playing ball, it is common to find Amy at a sporting event, supporting our kids.  She is sporting her orange and black, cheering them on, taking pictures, giving them encouragement.  She has been there to support us as parents when our child is injured or ill or just going through a rough time.  Amy has shown her dedication to her family, friends and work.  Let’s all pull together and show her how much we are behind her.  She has already had numerous procedures with a couple of recent ones being MRI and biopsy.  A Pet scan is scheduled for the near future and she is having a port put in for her upcoming Chemotherapy treatments.

We all know how quickly this will add up. The Go Fund Me page  will help with some immediate expenses, and our plan is to schedule a benefit at a later date when we see how Amy feels with the Chemo treatments and when she feels she could attend.  Any amount will help and would be greatly appreciated during this difficult time.  Amy is determined to beat this and I have no doubt that she will.  Let’s pull together and help the one who has always been there to help us.  We can lessen the burden so she can focus her energy on healing. If you cannot help monetarily, please continue with the prayers and the words of encouragement
