My name is Tiffany Lytle, and I am a first year Master's student at UCLA in the Asian American Studies Department. I was just accepted into my first academic conference to lecture about my research with Cambodian American communities who use arts education as a means to deal with the trauma inflicted upon them during the Khmer Rouge regime. 
I need money for travel expenses and lodging in Miami for this conference! I am currently looking for funding through other means, but with the lack of arts/cultural funding that exists in the world, I more than likely will need to pay for this trip myself!
This trip is extremely important to me, as it will be my first soiree into the world of academia, and making a good impression on my colleagues while presenting good research will be crucial for my success in this field! 
The trip will take place in late April, but I need to purchase airfare and hotel ASAP to get cheaper deals!
Any help that I can get from willing donors will be greatly appreciated! Help me bring Cambodian Studies to the forefront of Asian American Studies! Help me give voice to the voiceless on this national platform!
