HELP BRING ALEX HOME

Our family is devastated. On November 14th I received a call no one wants to get. My brother called to tell me my nephew, Alex Hernandez (31) was killed in a tragic drowning accident in Costa Rica while on vacation.

My brother Fred’s only son, Alex was an avid adventurist who loved traveling, kayaking, hiking and was a true nature enthusiast. He was the kindest, most thoughtful person and we are all truly heartbroken.

When I learned of the measures my brother has to take in order to bring his son home (he is still in Costa Rica) I felt helpless. None of us realized what would be involved when someone is out of the country and this tragedy happens. The red tape and the lengths he has to go to in order to bring his son home, coupled with the exorbitant expense involved is beyond comprehension.

This gofundme page was established in hopes to alleviate the financial burden that his father has to endure.

We ask for help for my brother to help lessen the financial burden and with that, he is able to mourn the loss of his son without worry.
