You gotta have HEART.

My dear friend Dawn and her husband Darin are in need of some help.
Darin has an Artificial Heart (LVAD-Left Ventricular Assist Device) right now that runs on a battery pack to keep him alive while he has been waiting for a heart transplant. He was only 47 years old when he had his first heart attack, then followed by three strokes, with one more just six months ago at age 56.

Day to day life for Darin has been one extreme to the other, in fact when I met my beautiful souled friend, Darin was in a medically induced coma for almost a month, which she barely left his side. Sidelining her own nursing career to be a full time nurse and care giver to her beloved has tightened their household budget quite a bit. When Darin is able to be home, their already fixed income has to accommodate $2,000 /month just in medication, let alone the mortgage, groceries, cell phone, electric, sewer, water, groceries, etc... I’m sure you get the picture. They just don’t have it, who could?
Now, Darin’s situation has become very serious very quickly in the last week and is being hospitalized for the indefinite future, putting even more burden on their lives with even more financial strain.

Everyone could ask “what can I do?”, myself included, but what they need the most right now is some financial relief. So I ask you the social media community in the season of Valentine’s Day to please have a heart and consider sharing some love with one of the biggest hearted humans I know. She’d give you the shirt off her back to help you out and she is too proud to ask for help, so I am.
Darin is the “Love of my Life” she will tell you on the regular (you can feel it radiate from her as she says it) and would give her last dying breath to keep him safe and healthy.
