Hi, my name is Drew Makowski. I am fundraising for my wife, friend, and our children's mother, Lynzee Makowski. On November 24th this year, Lynzee learned that she had been diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. The family has been encouraged to set up this page to help with the bills and treatment costs in addition to lost wages.

As we learn more about Lynzee's rare type of cancer, the mayo clinic has become a preferred hospital to offer the necessary expertise that most hospitals in Iowa don't have compared to Mayo's volume and success in this cancer type. Unfortunately, Mayo is not in our family's insurance network and will be paid out of pocket. Mayo requires a $5k retainer upfront before the first consult and will use these funds up before billing for any surgical procedures and imagining offering Lynzee the best chance to beat this rare form of cancer.

Any money raised will be used to pay for medical/surgical/chemo/radiation procedures and any other bills that may come from the scary journey we are about to go on.
