My name is Sahar Kamfar. I’m 44 years old, and I was diagnosed with Triple-Negative Breast Cancer August 27th, 2020. My first reaction to feeling a hard lump in my breast was “this is just a cyst and that there is no way I can have Breast Cancer with such small breast".  After being tested and biopsied, my diagnosis was confirmed, and I started my battle by placing the port and started my first Chemo treatment October 13th, 2020.

I’ve been lucky to have incredible people offering me support and guidance to get care. I am currently undergoing treatment at Sloan Kettering in Commack, NY. My treatment must be very aggressive: I will undergo several months of chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, likely followed by hormonal therapy and possibly more chemotherapy.

I don't usually feel comfertable asking for help, specially when it comes to money, I currently work Part-Time and between doctor appointments and treatment so far,  I have missed many days of work and not sure how long my boss will be able to handle me not being at work and having a job to go to in the coming days is not a guarantee. I am blessed to be surrounded with love and support from family and friends and I would appreciate any amount of donation so that I am able to continue to pay my bills and to take some pressure off my mother who is not working and is doing all she can to help me get through this hard time.
