My daugther is 17 year old girl who was born with cerebral palsy . She has never walked and uses a wheelchair to get around. At this time she is finishing high school, taking a college class at City College and is an A student. Her lift that takes her from our garage to the house is broken, dead. Unreparable . To replace it it will cost $ 32,000 plus tax. I'm retired and my wife of 30 years is still working and maintains our home.
By herself.  For now we are carrying her into the house when she comes home, we are 72 and 60 year old parents she weighs 145 lb. and is becoming very hard for the thee of us to do this. We are asking for help because there is no way that we can afford this massive amount of money. We don't expect that somebody else will pay for the entire thing , we just need some help to be able to buy the lift and make her and our lives less difficult.  A friend who I talked about our dilemma suggested I do this. Never thought I would but necessity is bigger than pride. Thank You all very much
