Hi my name is Lez and for my 40th birthday I am booked to do the Everest Base Camp Trek of April 2026.

I’m fundraising for an incredible cause that’s close to my heart: Mountain Rescue UK.

These selfless volunteers are on call 24/7, 365 days a year—ready to risk their own safety to save lives in the most remote, dangerous, and unpredictable terrain. Whether it’s hikers caught in a storm, climbers injured on a ridge, or missing persons in mountainous regions, Mountain Rescue teams are there when it matters most.

And here’s the thing: they do it all for free.

Every rope, stretcher, vehicle, and piece of specialist equipment is funded by donations from people like us. That’s why I’m asking for your support.

Whether you love the mountains, know someone who does, or just want to back real-life heroes who save lives every week, please consider donating. Every pound helps—£5 can buy essential first aid supplies, and £50 can help fuel a rescue vehicle for a call-out.

Let’s give back to those who give everything.

Please donate, and share this page with your friends and family. I aim to give updates and plenty of photos and videos of the journey.

Thank you so much for your support ❤️
