The 2015 Florida Law Enforcement Officer of the year, Deputy Robert Lundy, took a close range blast from a 12 gauge shotgun while stopping an active shooter at a Ford Delaership in Perry, Florida. Deputy Lundy was still able to shoot and kill the suspect, and saved dozens of people from being shot. Since that day in February of 2014, Robert has endured many surgeries and countless hours of rehabilitation. Due to complications from that shotgun blast and all the surgeries necessary to keep Robert alive, he must have another MAJOR, extensive surgery. It is happening soon, like next week! We want to make sure his family is close to him while he endures this 13 hour surgery and several days in Intensive Care. They have to travel from Steinhatchee, Florida to Gainesville, where Robert will have surgery.
This man saved many lives that February day in 2014, and has paid a heavy price for the courage he displayed. We want to raise money to make sure he and his family have what they need to be close by during this uncertain time in Robert and his family's lives. Anything is appreciated.
