Stop! Right now and hold your breath. Keep holding it as you read this. It will seem easy at first, then you will have to work harder and harder. But keep holding it.
Meanwhile, look at this precious baby. Isn’t she adorable? Her name is Aliyah Bing and she is 10 months old. On Monday, she stopped breathing on her own. Now she is in Nationwide Children’s Hospital fighting for her life; fighting to take one more breath on her own. Only, it’s not a test or a game, she isn’t breathing for real. Her parents Carlos & Seneca Bing are in the hospital, hanging on to each breath for a sign of hope; 24 hours a day at her bedside. Let’s help them breathe a little easier.
Carlos is an outstanding father, a Member of Faith Ministries Church, serves in the Security Ministry and leads the church Scholarship Committee. He is an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and works at the Ohio Department of Higher Education. His wife Seneca, is a graduate of The Columbus Alternative High School (CAHS) and The Ohio State University. She is active in the Scholarship Committee for both Faith Ministries Church and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Currently, she is the Guidance Counselor at CAHS. They both give so much to the community and to other children. Now let’s give a little back to them.
If you have ever had a loved one in a hospital, you know bills and worries mount up quickly. There are three other children; two of them are young. If you want to do something to show your support and be a blessing to them during this difficult time, please donate to the Bing Blessing Fund. We don’t know what the future holds, but we want them to have all the resources they need. All proceeds will be given directly to the family.
Now....can you breathe again? Consider it a blessing and let’s help Baby Aliyah and the Bing family to do the same.
