Getting my permanent smile
Donazione protetta
Hi everyone! My name is Daisy and I have never asked for personal help but I was encouraged to do so. Background story; As a child I suffered an accident and fell straight on my face , leading to my front tooth coming out. Mom rushed me to dentist and they put the tooth back in but over time bacteria grew and then jumped to the other front tooth; having to take that one too :(
my mom was only able to afford a retainer for me that had two front teeth on them. So many many years into my adulthood I’ve had to use a retainer and have always hated my smile because if I smiled too hard my fake teeth would become noticeable. I then started going to dental consultations and after so many years of not having teeth my bone density died and need bone grafts. I got one and that was it. I was then recommended braces to close my open bite for when the time came to get another bone graft and braces my implants would look as natural as possible. So I did get my braces but I feel like the orthodontist wasn’t successful but couldn’t afford another round of braces so I figured I’d moved onto the next step. Fast forward to the present day…I recently got a bone graft 03/12/24 and it came out very costly, I decided to go with it because I was realizing that I am getting older (30) and then it would be harder for implants in the future. I am tired of having non permanent teeth and not being able to smile like I want or eat what I want. I can’t always eat in front of people because if I bite, for ex, a burger, my two front teeth will come down with the burger (sounds funny, it kinda is lol) but over time it gets a bit annoying and I would then get super self conscious. I am a single mother of 2 beautiful children and with this cost it makes my finances tight. I’m not expecting the whole amount, anything helps. I am trying to work my way up at my current job to one day be able to afford a home/ small condo for my kids and I and just made saving much harder. If God has placed it in your heart to donate any amount, I will be forever grateful. I didn’t want to post my post op bone graft pictures because they’re pretty gross and don’t know if people have that stomach for it :/
but needless to say, my periodontist did state “in my 10 year career, this was my toughest job yet”
Donations would go directly towards treatment plan.
