Interested in making a difference? My son is raising money in aid of East Anglian Air Ambulance and every donation will help.
Thank you in advance for your contribution.
Hes not had an easy time in his young life and i am immensely proud of everything he has achieved in his almost 16years. 4 years ago his life was almost taken away from us when he became incredibley poorly. 6 weeks of tooing and froing between home and the DRs surgery, one last request for a second opinion an emergency admission to hospital, that moment changed his young life for ever. To be told your child was so close to death is something no parent should ever hear. He fought back, his pancreas is no longer viable and he now joins the world of T1 diabetes and the daily battles that come with it to keep him alive.
This is a little word from him
Hi my name is Alex Wigg and im in my final few weeks at Benjamin Britten Academy . I was diagnosed as Type 1 Diabetic in 2021 at the age of 10 just a short while before 11th birthday. A few hours longer and my parents would have had to say good bye to me. I was in severe DKA .The
last few years have been
super difficult for me both mentally and physically. I joined the Lowestoft Police Cadets in January this year , they have given me a new sense of purpose, i've made lots of new friends and its something i really enjoy. This year as a unit we are raising fund's for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. I,ve missed a couple of the events due to illness caused by my diabetes. Its crap and throws me numerous curveballs on a regular basis i need to navigate. On the 5th July 2025 i am doing a tandem parachute jump , its something ive always wanted to do and what better way than to raise money at the same time for a very worthwhile organisation.
I understand that in the current climate money is very tight but any small donation would be gratefully received. Thank you all so much.
