Help Noah Heal

This is my nephew Noah. Noah and my sister have been faced with a rollercoaster of emotions over the past few weeks. What started out as a simple cold and ear infection quickly turned into a fast decline in Noah’s condition.

On 2/7, Noah was airlifted to Nemours Children’s Hospital after being diagnosed with appendicitis that had ruptured at AdventHealth Waterman. Noah required emergency surgery and spent time recovering in the hospital. When my sister thought they were out of the woods and discharged home, Noah yet again began to decline at home and was rushed to Nemours for a complication of an abscess from surgery. Noah’s abscess developed in a location that was not treatable with oral or IV antibiotics and could not be removed through a simple procedure. My sister was informed Noah would likely need to be opened up completely in order to locate the infection. While awaiting the team's decision, Noah became septic and was transferred to the PICU awaiting surgery. Noah was able to have the surgery but has a long road to recovery as this surgery was more invasive than the last. He is currently undergoing IV antibiotics and pain management to hopefully rid the infection and regain strength.

I want to reach out to my friends and community and ask a helping hand in this time as my sister is unable to work as she is caring for my nephew. Not only is she acquiring medical bills but will have a hard time paying her own bills. We would appreciate any help during this time and appreciate any prayers.
