Healing from Domestic Violence

*Update* With your help, my dear friend is in the process of relocating. She sends a HUGE thank you to those who have donated. She is going to live in a safer place, close to family and friends and she is going to have an opportunity to establish her independence, work and provide for her children with a well-deserved salaried position. Her relocation and moving costs will be close to approximately $12,000, so I have raised her goal. She has also said, if she raises her goal, she will donate 10% to the domestic violence Justice Center and shelter, that initially helped her nearly a year ago break free from this cycle and take the first steps to freedom. On her behalf, thank you for your donations, she is overwhelmingly grateful and she and her children will now be free from her ex-partner's concealed rage and vicious cycle of violence.

My friend needs a lot of help right now. She has been in an abusive relationship for twenty years that has affected her and her 3 young children in so many negative ways.

She finally found the courage to leave, file for divorce and was granted a protection order for a year to protect her and the children. She needs to raise money to move out of the home where the abuse took place and pay for basic living expenses temporarily for her and her children.

Their abuser is withholding money from their joint bank accounts, padding his 401K, freezing credit cards and not paying his rent after moving out of the home or for basic needs until the court makes him pay.

This amazing mama and her beautiful children need a second chance. They need to start feeling safe again. We can help them by donating anything we can.

According to NCADV, up to 99% of domestic violence victims experience economic abuse during an abusive relationship, and finances are often cited as the biggest barrier to leaving an abusive relationship.

I know times are tough for all of us right now but if you could help in any way, we could be the support this family needs to make it through the toughest time of their lives. They deserve a fresh start.
