We are asking for your help to donate to our amazing friend Angela and help her in her Road to Recovery.
Angela has been such a strong supporter to all of us and to so many families and now she needs us to help support her in this fight to save her life. In mid June Angela’s world was changed forever.
It started out pretty normal, even celebrating her cousin Nicole’s 40th birthday in Cabo, but as the month progressed Angela noticed she wasn’t feeling very well. Angela had shortness of breath, she felt very tired and her appetite was almost non-existent. By the end of June, Angela’s stomach was very bloated so she went to the ER several times. There was heavy cancer speculation but no clear diagnosis. On July 5th our hearts stopped when Angela was diagnosed with stage 3c Ovarian Cancer. Angela’s mom died of cancer when she was 47. Even though her mom had Ovarian Cancer she never imagined suffering from the same disease.
Surgery was scheduled for July 20 where they removed Angela’s uterus, cervix, ovaries, Fallopian tubes, spleen, various lymph nodes, pieces of colon and bladder and scrubbed her diaphragm. Since the surgery she's had a few complications including infection and high fevers which landed her back in the hospital August 29 for a week, thereby postponing chemotherapy. This delay has caused her treatment schedule to be accelerated and the results at risk. Angela’s Dr’s anticipate 4 months of chemo with a round of oral chemo to follow.
She has a long and torturous road ahead of her but she is ready! Angela has been our Best Friend, Awesome Sister to her brother Cameron, Favorite Aunty to her Nieces and Nephews, Amazing Cousin, Great Niece and Second Mom to all of our children and she deserves a fighting chance.
We ask for anything that can help us pay her medical bills and to get a hold on financials as she fights to save her life. Angela is an amazing person and we love her so much. Please help us help her! Love you all and thank you so much for supporting our dear friend!
