Help Heather BTHO (beat the hell outta) Breast Cancer!!
Donation protected
Heather is truly one of the most generous and loving people you will ever meet. She has a tremendous heart and infectious smile that she shares with her loving Husband Mike, their kids Mikayla, Madison, Austin, & Reagan, her grand-daughter Everleigh Grace, her family, her friends, strangers in need, and all her fur babies. To know her makes your world a better place to be!
She is a fighting Texas Aggie class of 1998, and still active in the community helping to promote her beloved alma mater.
Unfortunately, Heather has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
In her own words:
""You have cancer.” These words will stop you in your tracks. They certainly shocked me early last month when I got the news that I have breast cancer. It’s still hard to say it out loud; it just makes it so real."
"During the second ultrasound they found a second mass and saw that my lymph nodes are now involved. Biopsies were performed immediately. These are changes since my first imaging on May 7th. Talk about a shock. It was not at all what I was expecting. Today, we are headed back to MDA to meet my team of doctors. I know I have invasive ductal carcinoma, but that’s all. We are going to have so much thrown at us today and we’re ready!"
"The official lab results came back on my second mass and the lymph node and they were not good...the cancer is in the lymph nodes and chemo will be needed before the lumpectomy surgery. UGH!"
"And because having cancer turn my life upside down wasn't enough...my employer is having my doctor fill out ADA paperwork to see if I qualify for unpaid medical leave. If my leave is approved, but my absence will be too lengthy, I’ll have to resign. If the leave is not accepted, I will have to resign. I was told I am welcome to reapply once this is all over. As for now, I’m just off the schedule. I LOVE my job. I’m really going to miss those few days of normalcy I had, I really am. I had a few days a week, 8 hours a day that I spent with people that made me laugh, people I love, doing what I love. I’m really going to miss my people."
"Thankfully, I have a huge support system and I am so thankful for you all. Now, let's BTHO cancer!!!"”
Heather will need all the help she can get in this fight against cancer! Her medical bills and lost wages are going to be difficult for the family to overcome alone.
So please, if you are able to donate to this amazing woman, mother, & friend in her BATTLE to live, I ask that you give what you can, and to spread this fundraiser to your own friends, family, and community to help her! WE CAN'T LET CANCER WIN!!!!!!
Thank you for your consideration, donations, and prayers.
