On March 27, 2009, Ryan Kraemer and his wife Janice faced every parent’s worst nightmare, their daughter Haley was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. After three years of treatment and mourning medical bills, Ryan and Janice were overjoyed when Haley’s cancer went into remission. However in 2014, Ryan began dealing with many health problems on his own. He suffered from chronic, unexplained headaches, and crippling pain throughout his whole body. It took doctors and many tests 5 years to finally give Ryan a proper diagnosis. Ryan has Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Ryan’s doctors have found lesions behind his right eye, which has caused significant vision loss, constant headaches, and sensitivity to loud noises and light. He also has lesions on the middle of his spine and his right hip.  He has served as a volunteer firefighter for the Stetsonville Fire Department since 2016 and worked for the Luna Union #268 out of Eau Claire. According to the doctors, the rate of Ryan’s MS is progressing significantly and he will be confined to a wheelchair within the next couple of years. Ryan and Janice have been married for almost 21 years, and are currently facing many years of financial uncertainty and strain, faced with mounting medical bills, missed work, and travel expenses to appointments, they are in need of our communities help.
