Laying Dad to rest.

Family and friends, I am greatly saddened to inform of the passing of my father, Philip Earl Hodgkins. Being his oldest son had both perks and drawbacks. I never got hand me downs, but I was the subject of many trial parenting techniques!
Dad loved the outdoors, both as his livelihood, and his passion. So many of our family and friends enjoyed the photos he presented of nature, in his own way sharing with us the beauty of God's creations as seen through his eyes. He outlived my mother, Marilyn Hodgkins, by almost 17 years, and his second wife, Elaine Hodgkins, just recently passed last year.
In the process of moving to Alaska to live with my younger brother Alex, he was taking photos of family and visiting National Parks to share with us his views of the vistas he saw. Sadly, Helena Montana was his last stop. At the motel he stopped at, his heart gave out and he is now enjoying the Heavenly views our Lord has prepared for him. If my father has one regret, it would probably be that he cannot share with us photos of where he is now!
Unfortunately, while rich in spirit and faith, my dad was not fully prepared for this unexpected event. We are just now coming to grips with this tragedy and realizing the expenses required have to be paid by us, his children, in order to realize his wishes to have his ashes interred at St Thomas Episcopal Church here in Savannah Georgia.
We are asking for any help that can be shared, and thanking everyone in advance regardless.
As far as we know, my dad did not have a will, and his personal effects are either in his car in Montana or in the middle of being shipped to my brother Alex in Alaska. Immediate expenses are to get to Montana and recover his car and arrange for his cremation and his return to Savannah for burial.
My brother Daniel and I will be in charge of meeting the challenges this sad event has in store for us, and once again thank all who are able to help shoulder this burden of laying our last parent to rest.
