Daniel Todorovic, 28, is a resident of Newport News. He is a father of 2 beautiful young girls, and has a beautiful wife, and loving family. Daniel is an Electrician, a workaholic, and one that never stops going. Daniel never takes handouts from anyone, but he’s always willing to give a hand. But, now we need to return the favor and help Daniel and his family during this hard time.
Daniel went to Colorado over the weekend, to visit, and reconnect with old friends, a little getaway. However, something terrible happened. Family and friends began to worry when they lost all connection with him Saturday. They knew something was not right. Family nor friends could reach him for hours and that was not like Daniel to stay in connect, especially being so far away from home. We lost complete connection with Daniel. We called the cell phone company, and there was no usage on his phone for hours, we began calling friends that Daniel knew and we were trying to trace his phone with the Find My Iphone App, but not being in a familiar place we didn’t really know much, nor did we hardly know anyone there. By Sunday morning, the hospital had called his wife Anastasia, and said that Daniel was found unconscious and had a thin line of living. At this point, Doctors did not know what happened or why, but their main concern was keeping him alive.
He was put on life support, and is currently fighting for his life. As the hours past, and his family being hours and miles away, not being able to be with him or by his side, they caught the next available flight to Colorado on Monday. Since, Doctors had to give Daniel a dialysis due to his kidney’s failing. They also found out that Daniel had pneumonia before, which made it even harder for Daniel’s body to fight.
On Monday, they had to do an Emergency Surgery because Daniel’s arm was swelling up and they were unsure why. They found a dead muscle and had to remove the muscle. Still today the Doctors are unsure what happened and what caused Daniel to become unconscious. They were thinking head trauma so they gave a CT Scan, but didn’t see any head trauma. They will have to wait until Daniel becomes conscious to check for Brain Injury.
Daniel is showing progress, but very little at a time. Daniel has to be completely sedated so his body can heal and recuperate. Family and friends have tried to make contact with the “friends” he was last seen with but has not been able to. They were reachable the first day but has gone off the grid since. Police have been notified and we are hoping to figure out what happened to Daniel.
We are asking for everyone to please keep Daniel and his family in your prayers day in and day out. Daniel’s wife, Anastasia, and Daniel’s Mother has been in Colorado since Monday, and there is no telling how long they will have to stay to be with Daniel. Both are home owners and have children back home in Newport News, so we also want to help this family with medical funds, and other expenses, so that they do not have to worry about these things, but instead can focus on Daniel and his recovery. Even with insurance, medical bills can be a financial burden. This has caused Daniel, his wife, and his mom to miss days of work and we don’t know how much work will be missed, but our main concern is getting Daniel back to breathing on his own, and making sure that he is okay. Please help us help the family, get Daniel back home, and make this tragic event as easy going as possible for the family.
