My beautiful wife, Tamsen Van derLas, was hit by a young, drunk driver while coming home from work, 10 years ago last month.  Thanks to the quick action of some passing motorists, she was saved, airlifted to the hospital, where she spent 5 weeks in ICU, then 2 months in rehab.  Since that time, she's lost her teeth, most short-term memory and now her eyesight and hearing are failing.  The drunk had only minimum insurance, so our company paid out $100,000.  The hospital bills were over half a million and we ended up with lots of credit card debt.  We've somehow managed to hold onto her 'dream home in the woods', but we still have 2 more years in a debt reduction program.  There's not much left of our small social security and my VA pension each month.  She's 75, I'm 80 and I fear that she is going to need a lot more care very soon.  She wants to die here, not in a nursing home and I want to help her do that.  If we could pay off the c.c. debt, it would free up almost $1,000. a month.  All donations will be greatly appreciated and I could sleep better knowing I could hire some help in the future.  Thank you.
