On Sunday August 11th 2019 the world became a little less bright when an incredibly wonderful man tragically left this earth too soon when he was hit from behind on his motorcycle.Kelley Akin was the kind of person we all should strive to be. He lived in the moment and lived life as an adventure. He kept an endless supply of sunshine in his pocket and shared it generously. He was loyal to all he cared for and laughter was abundant in his presence. He was the one who consoled us and brought humor in our most difficult of times.
Kelley's zest for life and family and friends was enviable. He made you feel like you were the most important person in the room and he was dependable to a fault. Just as his personality was bright and bold so were his clothes. No shirt was too tie-dyed or neon or Hawaiian. He had a passion for traveling, reading, music, skydiving, and anything related to the water. He was a gifted storyteller and he could actually remember jokes and recite them in succession.
For Kelley's family and friends you can understand that to capture Kelley's essence in words is just an impossibility. We are blessed to have had him in our lives and we can cherish the memories he gave us. He loved hard and we all loved him back.
Kelley was a protector and sole provider for his children Nolan, Kennedy and Delani. He nurtured and loved them so completely and fiercely. They were his biggest love and proudest accomplishment and he was truly their world. They are the reason for this go fund me page. The donations for his children will help to pay for funeral expenses, continued educational goals, and general life expenses.
Please help during this difficult time to honor Kelley and give him peace and comfort knowing that his children are being cared for by you.
Go Fund Me contributions donated to this page will be managed by Kelley's daughter Kelly Roberts.
Thank you for your supporting Kelley's family.
