Hi everyone,
I never imagined I’d be writing something like this. Asking for help doesn’t come easy to me. I’m usually the one trying to figure things out quietly but right now, life has taken an unexpected turn, and I find myself needing to reach out.
Recently, my boyfriend, Levi was diagnosed with cancer. No one likes that word and hearing those words changed everything.
Overnight our priorities shifted, our days are now filled with appointments, scans, and the unknown. It’s been emotionally and physically exhausting and financially overwhelming.
We are doing everything we can to stay strong, but the reality is that even with insurance, the unexpected medical bills, time off work, travel to treatments, and daily living expenses are starting to add up real fast. What we need most is time. Time to focus on healing, not on how to keep the lights on or put gas in the car. However we also understand that time waits for no one.
We’re hoping to raise $10,000 to help us stay above water during this difficult time.
Every donation will go toward:
Out-of-pocket medical costs and co-pays
Transportation and travel for treatment
Rent, utilities, and basic living expenses while we manage time off work
Any other unexpected costs that come with this diagnosis
If you know us, you know how hard it is for us to ask for help like this. But I’ve learned that sometimes the strongest thing you can do is allow others to show up for you when life gets hard. Whether it’s through a donation, a share, or just words of encouragement, it all means more than we can say.
He's battled cancer once before many years ago and had gone through it by himself. Unfortunately, he has to battle a whole new cancer but the good thing this time, he isn't alone. I want to show him that he has an army of people who love, care and support him to keep him strong while we face this head on together.
I want to thank you for taking the time to read our story and for standing with us during this time.
With love and gratitude,
Sara
