For Todd Mack and Bianca Pagano
As many of you know, Todd Mack, a longtime Indianapolis-area musician and theatre sound designer, was recently diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), a terminal illness with a life expectancy average of 5-7 years from the onset of symptoms.
While the deep emotional toll of this ravaging disease is nearly too much to bear, the financial toll is rearing its ugly head for this wonderful couple and their family. Todd is only 55, but unfortunately, he lost his job after 25 years, and his income.
Along with all of his medical bills and appointments, Bianca is trying to navigate all of their monthly bills, household maintenance, her own medical needs, etc., while also still caring for her two daughters (one in college and one in high school). And she’s doing it all alone!
This is just the early days of this diagnosis. Todd is still somewhat independent, but there will come a day in the not-too-distant future where he will need full-time care at home. They’ve applied for Social Security Disability (no word yet) and they have to wait two years before he’s even eligible for Medicare.
Please join me in offering a little monetary support to help Todd and Bianca find the strength to get through this. Any amount will help, no matter how big or small. Thank you!
