A dear friend recently went through major life changes due to a medical emergency. Keith is a super guy, always thinking of and helping others. Many of us know his delicious cheesecakes he bakes for no reason, just to share at work.
A 42 year old man and dedicated (single) father of 3 boys, his life was recently turned around when he experienced extreme pain in his head. He quickly learned he had multiple intracranial/cerebral (brain) aneurysms and had to undergo immediate brain surgery to correct a life-threatening aneurysm. His hospital stay was several weeks and many more weeks of rehab. He was gone from his home, sons and dog for 3 months trying to recover. Keith had to learn how to swallow again and other 'simple' tasks we take for granted each day because our brains tell us what to do without interruption.
Keith is trying to get back to work where he has been over 17 years. He has a great attitude, but it’s challenging finding his ‘normal’ life again. He's facing future surgeries to correct two more aneurysms and a host of life restrictions.
With mounting medical bills, time off work and unexpected expenses relating to this life changing event (getting his driver’s license reinstated ~$400 for the class to recertify) – I’m starting this fund to help relieve some of the burden. Keith’s parents are no longer with him and he has loving support of family, but as a friend I want to help Keith. I thought taking up a collection would be the best right now.
If you’d like to make a donation, it's greatly appreciated and will go to a deserving person. If you can’t – feel free to share this message which is also greatly appreciated. Thank you!
