About the project
That Sexciting produces a 30-minute podcast on intimacy, relationship or sexuality. Every week, we challenge society’s monolithic views of these topics with interviews with experts, educators and people from different walks of life.
To this date, the podcast is funded, curated, produced, edited and marketed by your truly, one-woman-band Yancy. It goes without saying that podcast production is expensive, especially for a solopreneur...
Our mission is to gather funds in order to:
- Trademark the show in Canada & the United States (process of 1.3K$)
- Trademark the slogan in Canada & the United States
- Cover our primary expenses (domain name, official email, podcast website, podcast recording platform, podcast hosting, etc.)
- Rent studios for in person interviews
- Create branded merch
- Remuneration for the content to be created
About Yancy's mission
Yancy’s career goal is to create a media company that specializes in intimacy and sexuality educational content such as documentaries, fiction and non-fiction TV shows, online series, books and more. Ultimately, she aims to make learning about sex accessible, fun and relatable.
Yancy is entering University in Interdisciplinary Studies in Sexuality, works as a video editor and curates the show voluntarily (which is a full-time job!)
