Hi there everyone, my name is Amanda, Thomas’s fiancé. We are raising funds for Savannah, my amazing sister-in-law and Thomas’s sister. Savannah has been going through some very challenging and serious medical issues, which has kept her from going home to Alaska, and unable to work.

Savannah went into Petersburg Medical Center with abdominal pain, weakness and fatigue. The medical team in Petersburg found she was extremely anemic and had a large gallstone. With her history of a perforated ulcer back in 2018 and the inability for PMC to diagnose or eliminate the possibility of a returning ulcer, they recommended she travel to Washington for further diagnosis.

She flew into SeaTac on August 16th. She was admitted immediately at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland, and after extensive testing and several transfusions they confirmed the ulcer had returned. She remains under the care of her original surgeon and at this time they are working to heal the ulcer rather than perform surgery as it is a very extensive and complicated surgery. Perforated ulcers are very dangerous and extremely painful. Yesterday she met with her surgeon and unfortunately found that natural healing is not going well. Her doctor is not willing to release her at this time, but rather has decided to try a different combination of medication and new nourishment plan.

With stress being the leading cause of an ulcer, she cannot afford to worry. She is extremely scared and wants to return to work for fear of loosing all that she’s worked so hard for back in Alaska. Savannah would give the shirt off of her back for anyone, so I am asking for us to do the same for her. Donations will help Savannah with the cost of prescriptions, medical and everyday bills, and nourishment.
