Hello, my name is Emily Boudreaux and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my best friend Claire Lynch. If you know Claire, you know that she is not materialistic and values her safety, relationships, education, and well-being over all else. Last week on Wednesday, March 22nd, Claire's home was broken into, robbed, and ransacked in broad daylight. Claire is a graduate student who lives alone with her (almost) 1-year-old kitten, Igor.

This break-in was not a walk-in, grab the electronics, and leave-type situation. Claire's home was left in total disarray, every breakable object was broken, sentimental items gone, books with pages ripped out, and a complete violation of her home and safety.

Claire has a full work and course load that doesn't disappear when disaster strikes. As a full-time graduate student with loans and minimal income, Claire does not have the means to replace the items lost in this crime. As you can imagine, it is hard to focus when it seems your home and safe place has been pulled out from under you. The items taken have inhibited Claire's ability to comfortably stay at home and continue to work at this time.

This is just a short list in addition to the multiple furniture pieces and storage solutions that were damaged beyond repair.
