Recovery Nexus
Recovering, Transforming, Serving
Perhaps nothing is more inspiring and meaningful than seeing a chronic alcoholic or addict rise from the ashes of their burned-out lives.
But, because our current remedies often fall short, far too many are lost to hopelessness, despair and death before such a resurrection can occur. There were over 72,000 total overdose deaths in 2017. That is a staggering, heartbreaking figure.
There is a clear call for greater creativity, sensitivity, and effectiveness in our ways of aiding the sufferers. Recovery Nexus has answered that call.
What is Recovery Nexus?
Our Mission: “To help those who are lost in the darkness of addiction find freedom in the light of personal recovery and spiritual community.”
Recovery Nexus is a non-profit corporation in Washington State with fiscal sponsorship from Compassion4Addiction, a 501(c)(3) Tax-exempt Corporation. It was created to advance our mission.
Our name, Recovery Nexus, stems from how our work connects the venerable use of an ancient plant medicine sacrament with the modern spiritual therapy of the 12 Steps to facilitate recovery from addiction.
Your help is vitally needed
Until now, because of limited resources and the great care and sensitivity this process requires, this treatment approach has only been available to a very few. With your financial assistance, this unique intervention can be refined further and housed within a structured, supportive communal environment. Working together, more lives can be touched, and the outcomes can be measured.
To launch its pilot sober-living house, Recovery Nexus has set a goal of $100,000. This amount will cover the critical infrastructure expenses of housing, education, ceremony, and integration services for program residents. Within the first year, the house should be self-sustaining through the modest contributions of the residents themselves. Incoming resources will be reinvested to broaden and strengthen outreach with additional housing facilities and services.
P.S. Many people are hurting from the effects of alcoholism and addiction. Your generous contribution can help them find relief from that pain, and to experience the joy of life and living. Thank you!
