Hi, my name is Bex and I have a family of 5 cats that I rescued in 2019-2020. The two boys are FeLV+, while their mother and sisters are not.

In August I noticed that Buddy was having pain in his mouth, and I took him to the vet for treatment. He had sores on his gums and tonsil area. He's been back several times since for treatment, and antibiotics have only helped a small bit. The sores in his mouth continue to return, and he currently has a large one under his tongue. His vet wants to sedate him and remove it for biopsy, as well as checking his teeth for infection. I've also gotten an estimate from a veterinary dentist.

His regular vet estimated a cost of $600-1800 depending on whether he needs teeth removed and how many. The veterinary dentist estimated $2000-4000. Either option includes dental cleaning, potential tooth removal if necessary, and most importantly a biopsy of the sore under his tongue.

I adore Buddy so much, but I have very little funds to pay for this myself. I'm currently planning to try his regular vet, since there is no way I can afford the specialist on my own. So I'm trying to raise some funds to assist me in paying for his care. Anything would be appreciated. My big man means the world to me, and I just want him to feel better and have a good long life.
