Help Us Stay Afloat

Hello. My name is Lianne and I’m a stay-at-home mom of 5 kids 6 years old and under. Unfortunately, life has dealt us a pretty rough hand lately. My husband, Logan has been very very sick lately. He’s been off work for quite some time and since January/February ish of this year, he’s been completely bedridden. He wouldn’t want me to go into details. But on top of singlehandedly raising our 5 small kids, I’ve also been his round-the-clock caretaker. On top of that, we’ve had quite a few other health issues with our children, particularly our 16-month-old twin girls. One has had health issues since birth that require ongoing frequent checkups and the other has new neuro issues that could be very severe. We’re going through testing right now which is proving to be very expensive and time consuming, not to mention stressful. Our oldest child is also being evaluated to see if he needs surgery. Plus, we all have horrible dental health genes which means lots of dental appointments which is also extremely expensive. And all my kids are terrified of the dentist so it’s a nightmare every time we go. Because of how much I shoulder, the cleanliness of our house got to the point where I just couldn’t fix it myself. So I hired a cleaner who ended up scamming us. Long story short. My family is at rock bottom. Every single bill we have is behind. Our cell service is cut off. Our hydro is about to be cut off. We’re late on rent. We owe several family members thousands of dollars each. Our only income right now is government benefits and for a family of 7, that’s simply not enough. I’m stretched so unbelievably thin and I need help. I know nobody owes me anything. I know this. But I need help. I’m failing my children. I’m doing my best and it isn’t enough. I’m struggling to put food on the table for them. I’m struggling to put them in clean clothes for school. And they see it. They see how often I cry. They ask me why and I don’t know what to tell them. I just need money for rent and food. I don’t know what else to do. I’m mortified for making this GoFundMe but I’m out of options. I’m desperate. I’m failing my children and I have no other options but to turn to others to dig me out. Please.
