Our family’s life changed when we woke up to our house on fire. We were terrified, but thankfully we all got out in time. We lost everything we owned, and our two-year-old daughter was crying, not understanding why her home was gone. My husband is a veteran, and while we are grateful for his service, starting over has been incredibly hard. My in-laws are close to retirement, making it even more difficult for them to help.
